Elizabeth James writes uplifting, heartfelt children’s stories that inspire young readers to confidently grow their faith—in themselves and their world.
Hello.
I’m the author and illustrator behind the Pippa Potter, President’s Daughter chapter book series. A veteran writer, I have more than two decades of experience in the publishing industry as a former magazine writer and editor, book publicist for New York Times bestselling books and authors, as well as an online- and social-media manager.
I’m also a mom. With three kids (two of whom are diagnosed with anxiety), I’m aware how grave the need is for kids to learn strong mental-health techniques and manage the emotional landscape they face today and into the future. That’s why I wrote this groundbreaking series of books.
As someone with lifelong anxiety, it wasn’t until I was in my 30s, with the help of multiple counselors and therapists, that I learned the techniques introduced in the “Pippa Potter, President’s Daughter” series.
But children shouldn’t have to wait decades to get that kind of help. That’s why the best tools and techniques from therapy are woven straight into the storyline, allowing kids to learn how to incorporate them into their everyday lives now—before they ever have to enter a therapist’s office.
